What is an Undergraduate Student-at-Large?
- An Undergraduate Student-at-Large is an individual who does not have an undergraduate degree, does not wish to receive an undergraduate degree from Bradley University, but would like to take classes on a part-time basis.
Who can apply?
- High school students who have completed their sophomore year and have a B or better grade point average
- College students who wish to take a course and transfer it back to their current institution
- A person who wishes to take a class for personal or professional development
- Do not use this form to apply for the SLHS non-degree option. Please use this SLHS form instead.
Who should NOT apply?
- Students who wish to receive an undergraduate degree from Bradley (Contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission)
- Students who already have a Bachelor’s degree or higher (Contact the Graduate and International Admission office)
- Students who have below a 2.0 grade point average
- Do not use this form to apply for the SLHS non-degree option. Please use this SLHS form instead.
What information is needed to complete my application?
- Fill out the Application for Undergraduate Student-at-Large
  College Students:
- Include an official transcript (preferred) or letter of good standing from current or most recent institution with the application.
  International Students:
- Provide an official transcript with the application
  High School Students:
- Provide an official transcript with the application and
- Three letters of recommendation from high school teachers or guidance counselors.
  Others:
- Most recent college transcript
- Or letter of recommendation from employer
- Or personal statement if none of the above is available

Speech Language and Hearing Sciences Non-Degree:

Complete the SLHS non-degree form instead

What are some additional admission procedures I need to be aware of?
- Applications for the January Interim and Spring Semester must be submitted by December 10.
- Applications for all other academic terms must be submitted at least two weeks before the start of the planned academic term.
- Admission as a Student-at-Large does not guarantee registration in a course.
- Prerequisite requirements as specified in the course catalog must be met.
- Undergraduate Students-at-Large are not eligible to receive financial assistance.
- Admission as a Student-at-Large does not guarantee admission to a degree program.
- A maximum of 45 hours of Undergraduate Student-at-Large course work can be applied toward an undergraduate degree at Bradley.
How do I register for my class(es)?
- Once your information is received, your application will be reviewed for admission. Once you are notified of your admission status, you will also receive information about registering for your course(s). Registration is accomplished via the web by using a BUnetID and by establishing a BU email account. Registration materials will be sent to your address on file after your admission is approved.
